Another Update
Hey,
Just a few of things I’d like to post up here, firstly I’m very pleased with the work that got done this week, but still I must stress what little time we have so remember to keep on task in class as Mondays are the only really day we have to work on this projected.
Also I’ve finished a rough version of the storyboard, there a link below you, guys should all probably have a look at it so you can kind of see how I want the animation to look like.
The red arrows are camera movement and the blue writing on the top are the scenes. Some of the scenes we will use two or three times but change them slightly, for example when they come out of the London underground it’s the same scene as when they go in just flipped and a few more props ect.
I’ve also updated the task sheet most of you will be assigned to a scene to build, if your not assigned to a scene I’ll probably get you to work on a character or your already working on one. I’m going to make a more detailed version of the storyboard in a PowerPoint for Monday so you guys will have a more detailed refence to build your scene. Also keep in mind that not everthing in the scene need to be built in 3D as long as it looks right on the screen.
A note to Stage Ones you guys will be working on Scene Three you can find a more detailed picture of this scene posted Sam (samo) in older posts in this blog I’ll also write you guys up your own task list for Monday.
And finally I’ve been working on jacks model sheet/base mesh here a sketch of his outfit is going to be. I’ll post the full model sheet and a render of the base mesh at some point over the weekend.
That's all for now.

Westminster Bridge, Base Model
Miss Lockheart's Model Sheet
Kate will do the face and pattern for the clothes
I used the Female Model Sheet as a base so it should suit the 3D Model

Update
Hi all,
I’ve sent you a link to a task list I’ve made over the last few days, at the moment its rather small but it is bound to double over the next week or so. If you haven’t already been assigned to a task for Monday take a look at the list and think about things you might be interested in making. You will also notice there’s a due date for all tasks, this is due to our short time frame if your progress on a task is to slow you will moved off it and it will be taken over by someone else.
Also because of the due dates its mandatory that you post on the blog every week as it is the hard proof of you doing the work, if you don’t post, it will show up in the documentation as you did nothing for a week, so post lots please :).
Also a want you guys to all have a look at this as its kind of what style I want the finally outcome to be.
Thanks All,
I’ll see you on Monday :D
Just some info
Do we have any concept art completed for the main characters yet? My understanding was they were pretty much done and was hoping to have a glance so I can have a good idea of the style of the characters. I've almost finished a male base mesh which I'm hoping to have done this weekend so I can take it into Mudbox and start on some generic characters for crowd or street shots. I'll dump it on the share drive/host it for download when it's done.
Is the storyboard going to be a group thing or fall onto Kate? Just after an idea of what sorta stuff we're doing animation wise, I have a few ideas but don't know whether to sketch/write em up if it's already being worked on. Considering that Alan told us most of the work we're doing in level design doesn't apply to us I chose to model London Bridge for his assignment in the hopes it would prove useful to us.
I heard that we're only doing a 2minute short? Is this right? I was thinking we were going to do 5-10mins or something. I was talking to Josh and it seemed like we may be thinking much bigger project than planned. Will we be finding people for voice work at all? I dunno if the setting of England would make that a bit difficult.
Sorry if that stuff is already public knowledge, just after a better understanding.
Cheers, Tom

Cat Snatch Scenes

With these two pictures, i discussed it with Kate and we came up with this;
In the first picture you see, a cat will jump over the fence and walk across to the trash can and jump over it into the alley. As it jumps over the trash can the camera will slowly zoom into the war poster on the brick wall
In the second picture, the cat will be walking along... it will stop when it gets to the gap between the two buildings.. it will go to walk again but then all of a sudden two arms come out of the darkness and snatch the cat.. so it was taken by the shadow dweller
so that was just the RUFF idea of it :)
